HDFC Infinia Metal Edition & HDFC Galaxia Titanium Credit Cards Launched

HDFC Bank has launched two new credit cards in the festive season of 2021. These are the HDFC Infinia Metal Edition Credit Card, and the HDFC Galaxia Metal Titanium Credit Card. These will add to the growing list of already rich HDFC Credit Cards and will be available from the month of October 2021.

At the time of writing this post on 6th October 2021, I do not have much information to share, however, I will keep on updating this post as and when required.

Here are the details we know so far.

HDFC Infinia Metal Edition Credit Card:

The HDFC Infinia Metal Edition Credit Card is an upgraded version of the existing HDFC Infinia Credit Card. Similar to the HDFC Infinia Credit Card, this will be available on an invite basis only.

However, please read this: although HDFC is branding it as a METAL CARD (like OneCard Metal Credit Card), as per reports, they are issuing both Metal and Plastic card variants to different people randomly. Some of our FinTalks members got plastic cards, while some got the Metal edition.

Benefits of HDFC Infinia Metal Edition Credit Card:

This was originally posted by Pankaj Vijayvargiya on our FinTalks Facebook Group. He had applied for this card and shared his feedback about the same.

Although there are quite a few benefits of this card, I will list the most practical and usable ones:

1. Unlimited Free Airport Lounge Access via PRIORITY PASS worldwide, including India. Almost all other cards that provide free lounge access, are limited (2/4 per quarter) and need to be done via the card itself. Here, the separately provided Priority Pass is used for both domestic and international lounges without any limitation, and there’s an exclusive entry line for priority pass holders.

Some airport lounges have dedicated Priority Pass areas too (Such as Delhi) which are not crowded by regular cardholders and are better serviced. Further, you can also get up to 3 Free Addon cards for your family members and bring them under the unlimited lounge program.

2. Accelerated Reward Rate: This is probably why this card is most sought after among people. With 10X reward points on certain spends via SmartBuy (Flights, Hotels, and Flipkart, Amazon shopping during sale), you get 50 RP per ₹150 spends.

To make it beautiful, Infinia’s reward points are redeemable at a 1:1 ratio for flights and hotels so effectively, you get 33 RS back on spend of 100 RS!

3. Unlimited Golf Games across golf courses across India and World.

4. A 50% Discount on Bookmyshow (1 + 1 Free) movie and non-movie tickets.

5. FOOD: A free Dineout passport membership which gets you flat 25% off at 2000+ premium restaurants, 1+1 on buffets at 200+ restaurants, and 1+1 on Food / Drinks at select restaurants, ITC Hotels Weekend 1+1 Buffet.

There are quite a few more perks such as personal 24/7 concierge service, fuel surcharge waiver, Club Marriott membership (1st year only), ITC Hotels offer, Free air death cover, overseas medical expenses cover, etc.

What is the difference between Regular HDFC Infinia Credit Card and Infinia Metal Edition?

In short, NO DIFFERENCE except in the naming, metal look, and the annual charges (Infinia is 10k+GST while Infinia Metal Edition is 12.5k+GST.

Is the Infinia card still issued on C2C basis. I keep getting calls from folks claiming as third party to HDFC banks for LTF Infinia on C2C basis. Any one in the forum has an experience going through this channel or are these scam calls?

HDFC giving me a hard time for LTF Infinia.
