How to get Mastercard Variant of Standard Chartered Bank VISA Debit Card?

Stan Chart bank only provide VISA variant of Debit Card. Does anyone know how we can get a Mastercard variant? I called their contact center and they said it is not possible.

Hi. You can only get a mastercard variant of any card, if the bank has officially partnered with mastercard for that variant of card. Otherwise you won’t be able to get it. Check the same first.

In case you find that the bank is issuing cards on that network then you can request for conversion. Cite this RBI Circular: Reserve Bank of India - Database
