Good News for HDFC Credit Card users who are applying for new credit cards, or have applied very recently (within the last 90 days): You now get the chance to convert your card membership into a Lifetime Free Account.

Note that this is the updated method (September 2021) in addition to the old methods listed here.

HDFC Credit Cards Eligibility for LTF Category:

The following HDFC Bank Credit Cards are eligible for Lifetime Free criteria:

  • HDFC IndianOil Credit Card: Annual Fee ₹500 + GST.
  • HDFC MoneyBack Credit Card: Annual Fee ₹500 + GST.
  • HDFC CSC Small Business MoneyBack Credit Card: Annual Fee ₹250 + GST.
  • HDFC Business MoneyBack Credit Card: Annual Fee ₹500 + GST.
  • HDFC Millennia Credit Card: Annual Fee ₹1000 + GST.
  • HDFC Intermiles Platinum Credit Card: Annual Fee ₹1000 + GST.
  • HDFC Regalia Credit Card: Annual Fee ₹2500 + GST.
  • HDFC Business Regalia Credit Card: Annual Fee ₹2500 + GST.
  • HDFC InterMiles Signature Credit Card: Annual Fee ₹2500 + GST.

The following HDFC Bank Credit Cards are NOT eligible for Lifetime Free criteria:

  • HDFC Infinia Credit Card: Annual Fee ₹10,000 + GST.

How to convert your HDFC Credit Card to Lifetime Free?

Method 1: Spending Criteria:

You can convert your HDFC Credit Card to Lifetime Free by making spends of the following amount within 90 days of receiving the card. (Try to complete as quickly as possible)

  • HDFC IndianOil Credit Card: Spend ₹30,000 within 90 days.
  • HDFC MoneyBack Credit Card: Spend ₹30,000 within 90 days.
  • HDFC CSC Small Business MoneyBack Credit Card: Spend ₹20,000 within 90 days.
  • HDFC Business MoneyBack Credit Card: Spend ₹30,000 within 90 days.
  • HDFC Millennia Credit Card: Spend ₹50,000 within 90 days.
  • HDFC Intermiles Platinum Credit Card: Spend ₹50,000 within 90 days.
  • HDFC Regalia Credit Card: Spend ₹100,000 within 90 days.
  • HDFC Business Regalia Credit Card: Spend ₹100,000 within 90 days.
  • HDFC InterMiles Signature Credit Card: Spend ₹100,000 within 90 days.

For HDFC Infinia Credit Card, you can convert it to First Year Free Card by spending ₹300,000 within 90 days, and you will also get a renewal fee waiver if your previous card membership year spends exceed ₹800,000. Else, the annual fee will be charged.

Method 2: SmartPay Activation:

If you keep any Smartpay Biller on against your credit card, your card will be Lifetime Free till the active status is maintained on Smartpay. Please note that you can keep smartpay active for 3-4 months and then mail to HDFC support and ask for the lifetime free status confirmation.
